Why basket thresholds change the cheapest option
An isolated line may look cheaper with one supplier but create an unusable or inefficient order if the basket does not meet that supplier's commercial minimum. Basket optimisation therefore needs to consider the existing order value as well as the candidate item's price.

What the calculator does
It multiplies the candidate pack price by quantity, adds that to the current basket and shows the remaining gap or amount above the threshold. It does not model delivery charges, rebates, discounts, stock availability or scheme terms.
