Where it started
Ordering for a dispensary should be straightforward. In practice, you end up checking different wholesaler websites, matching pack sizes, comparing prices, looking at the Drug Tariff and then going back to build the baskets.
I've had to do that work myself. I started PharmShop because I wanted those checks in one place, without losing sight of what was actually being ordered.
What I'm building
PharmShop is designed to help dispensing GP practices and independent pharmacies:
- import an order pad and check the correct medicine, strength and pack;
- compare account prices across connected suppliers;
- see manufacturer discounts, supplier minimums and NHS reimbursement alongside the price;
- prepare supplier baskets and check what has actually been added;
- make better stock decisions without paying for products they don't need.
I'm building it around how a real dispensary works. I don't expect anyone to trust a price just because the software says it's the best one. You should be able to see the figures and check them.
Still listening, still improving
PharmShop is an independent project and it's still being developed. I'm interested in what other dispensing practices and pharmacy teams struggle with, particularly when ordering from several suppliers.
If you have a question, a problem with a feature or an idea worth building, please get in touch directly.
Talk to me about PharmShop
Whether you're considering using PharmShop or just want to tell me what's difficult about your current ordering process, I'd like to hear from you.

PharmShop is not an NHS service or a wholesaler. Showing a supplier or product in the software doesn't mean that supplier endorses PharmShop, that a pack is in stock or that an order has been placed. Medicine details, current prices and actual supplier baskets still need checking.
